When people think about estate planning, they often think only about trusts and wills. Careful estate
planning, however, involves a consideration of many estate planning tools that can help people plan for the
future welfare of their family, both before and after their passing.

We offer a wide range of estate planning tools to meet the needs of our diverse client base. Our clients have
estates of all sizes from relatively small estates to larger estates that require more sophisticated planning.
Estate Planning is not about celebrity or extraordianry wealth, it is about taking care of family.

Some of the estate planning services we provide at our firm include:

  • Living Trusts or Revocable Trusts
  • Wills
  • Advance Health Care Directives (Living Wills)
  • Powers of Attorney

Clients appreciate our warm and welcoming office atmosphere. Clients appreciate our attention to detail and
our ability to provide creative, forward-thinking estate plans that protect their wealth and their family.

Living Trusts or Revocable Trusts
A Living Trust or Revocable Trust, is a useful tool to ensure the passing of assets privately and without the
need for probate. This type of trust is preferred in most instances because of the ability to change the terms
while the testator is still alive.

A will is a well known legal device that provides instruction as to the disposition of a decedents posessions
and assets after death.  In order for a will to have legal effect, the executor of the estate must submit the will
to probate and obtain an order from the Court.  Probate can be a complicated and lengthy process if
contested, thus, trusts are the preferred mechanism for the passing of assets.

Advance Health Care Directives (Living Wills)
We are pleased to assist clients with advance health care directives and powers of attorney. An advance
health care directive, formerly called a living will, is a document that defines your medical care wishes. It
states your wishes concerning vital issues like removal of life support, organ donations and burial

Powers of Attorney
A power of attorney grants a person of your choice the power to make decisions on your behalf.  In the State
of Nevada, there are statutory powers of attorney for health care decisions and for financial decisions.
Depending on the client's goal, we prepare powers of attorney to appoint an individual to handle important
financial decisions on your behalf or to make medical decisions, if you become ill or disabled. Powers of
attorney and advance health care directives are key tools used in preparing your estate plan.
